on halloween some friends invited me to go too a haunted house and then trick or treating i know that sounds retared but whatever where in 8th grade well so its going to be about 7 girls & guys well all of these people that are coming are like really preppy...were all preppy we were american eagel and all and one of my friends has vampire teeth so she said she wanted to be a emo vampire and we went to the mall today and i sall some stuff in hot topic so i want to be emo for halloween...i have blonde hair thats straightened and i was going to put in black highlights on my side bangs and one on the other side of my face and then underneath my hair on the bottom layer and then wear a black hooded jacket and some jeans but really hot guys are coming so i want to be emo and hot how do i put on emo make up without it looking gross like emos at my school have it not to be mean to any1 whos emo and do u have any other idea on how to look more emo and hotomg its flippin' halloween I'm not trying to become something I'm not. I like being happy, thank you. I just won't to dress up with out having to get a custom, I wanted to do something different. omg get over it I'm not trying to be mean to the people who have problems I just want to dress like emo and look cute get the fuck over people rollseyes

Do you really have to cut yourself and dress emo and listen to emo music to be emo!?
Because I believe I am emo because I am an emotional person and I am very sad at the fact I cannot be myself yet since I am gay in high school Also I have allot of other problems and I like to express it by typing it out.... Why do all the kids dress emo when they are not depressed?
To me " emo is a bunch of crap that was made up as a style.. if you're depressed why in the hell would you try show people you are by expressing yourself in such a manner... and everyone that claims to be " emo" aren't even depressed do you even know what depression really is? Half the kids that are " emo" laugh and play all the dang time so where exactly is the depression or emotional turmoil?ok so emo stands for emotioanl music I call bull ok because in that case to me every type of music is emotional.. but ok I thank you for giving me some insight to this

my niece, age 14, dresses emo and likes all sorts of emo ish stuff. She seems withdrawn and dark most days, very smart, polite, etc. How do I know when to worry about her? She has told her mom she doesn't cut, but she wears long pants sleeves. Please don't give me a lecture about how " not everybody emo does that stuff" I know that. That's why I'm asking. How do I know when to worry? She's not likely to share anything like that with her mom dad. Is there something I can do to support her other than accepting her style which I do, and I've told her that . Thanks for your help I appreciate it.

I'm not into all that cutting and suicide stuff, but i just like their style, like how they dress. What can I say to my parents to help them accept my daughter's need to express herself by dressing emo?
She wears the black clothes, died her hair black with it hanging over one eye, and is wearing dark black eyeliner. She is not depressed. She just loves the screamo bands, and likes to dress like them, but her grandparents are extremely worried. I just think it is just a phase, and she is just having fun with a new look. How can I settle her grandparents fears that she might be getting into some kind of bad scene?

I am kinda emo, I have problems, I listen to the music but I try not to look emo because none of my friends are or like emos and would just cause me grief I dress in black, I wear jeans but not tight ones I have long emo ish hair, but its my natural blonde hair color and I wear black hoodies, should I go full out and show my true colors or hide it?
