Question: I need advice on dressing emo?

Its for halloween, im not actually emo, but i really like emos. I wanna look emo for fun. My friend claims hes emo but he does seem like it to me, so i dont think i can ask him about this. I need tips on: - hair - glases - any piercings needed? - shirt - do i need makeup? im a guy... - pants - shoes - im chinese - anything you can think of - its too bad i dont htink i can go trick o treating, lousy AP homework, and since i may be a nerd, are there any nerdy emo looks? I had a goth friend once Feel free to comment anything. I dont mind, as i think it would provide insight.

Black t-shirt A black and red hoodie Eyeliner Dye your black if it isn't already Get some wristbands/ sweatbands with skulls on them Converse shoes (black/ tartan/ red) Make sure your hair looks spiky and slightly messy. Lip piercing And if you want to look nerdy, get some small black glasses with a red/ green/ purple/ etc. rim.
