Question: Will emo ever die out.........?
(Posted by: Rose on 2009-07-01 00:42:03)
I noticed there aren't as many emo kids now as there were before. Then I was thinking since kids sometimes become emo to be unique then wouldn't people start being emo again since there aren't as many of them now which would actually make them more unique then when there were a lot of emos. In my opinion there will probably be a few emo kids for the next few years (or more). What do you think? Oh and i'm not hatting btw emos don't really bother me as long as they don't start harming others. |

Of course, emo and other groups like scene, goth, etc. will all eventually die out as other new popular trends will emerge. I don't think any group really truly dies out, they just fade away. For example, being a hippie was the popular thing to be in the 60's and 70's, but once the 80's and 90's came Hippies just sort of faded away. |

Well where I live there are even more emo kids than before. And yes it will eventually just fade away, in the years to come. And you don't have to be a cutter to be emo, its just a trend, almost like a click. And I classify my look to be emo. Dark eyeliner but bright clothes, and an unusual personality. |

No, it won't. It might simmer down, but it will always come back. Haven't you noticed how big the 60's is coming back? I enjoy flannels, long hair, and 60's music. Grateful Dead, The Beatles, Rowanda Kowanda... et c. I blame my image on growing up in the 90's with sisters and brothers who were obsessed with Nirvana. But this new scene is coming in, called the "Green " scene. Smoke pot and save the Earth! |

No, the stereotype is dying. Why? Because the idiots who chose to follow the stereotype are finally starting to see it for what it is - a stereotype, a trend, a label...another stupid excuse to not be yourself in front of others. Another excuse to stop thinking, acting, and dressing the way you want to. I have hope one day we will all be individuals. (maybe that's being too optimistic?) |
