Ummm.. they're all useless labels. Aren't indie and emo the same thing? This is like asking how a headbanger can be with a goth? They are the same thing, only one has more makeup. Just be with the person. Once you're out of high school you'll realize all of these labels are pointless, and the only people who still live by them are those that haven't grown up yet.

Emo came from indie. you should look it up if you didnt know that. what their interested in doesnt have much to do with it. you either like him or you dont.
