Why do people still use the stereotype emo to describe emotion?

Question: Why do people still use the stereotype emo to describe emotion?

Confused? Emo isnt used to describe emotion, at least not anymore. Its a label, and just like every single other label, its a fashion... thats it, just purely a fashion admitidly the people following this particular fashion are generally emo, but because there so many labels now (Halve of which people generalise extremely) you cant use it to define emotional people I'v allways calssed myself as emo, but heres the thing. Me, and a hell load of other 'emo's' dress emo but act mega cocky, chavy, and mostly, scene. And none of us hate life, we hate the system that runs it cus most of its wrong, but loads of people agree with that. Because theres so many labels its too hard to fit one perfectly aswell. for example, theres... Glamour scene kid - girls, amazing haristyles, bright Gay scene kid - glamour scene but done by boys, lots of pink Chav scene kid - Scene kids in chav jackets and glasses, etc eg. charlie scene (hollywood undead) emo scene kid - Scene and neon colours on black instead of white, usually bow in hair Neon scene kid - White and neon, or black and neon, but lots of neon emocore - emo and metal, more emo, lots of music emo screamo - screamo singers, emo version of punk nerdy emo - the very rare nerd with the classic and nearly extinct emo fringe and on top of this, the closest that the majority of emo's get to depressed is fucking crazy... in other words they dont cry in the corner and slit there wrists instead they get mega pissed off, flip out, then slit their wherever (Nearly never their actuall wrists) and carry on. And alot of emo's, like me, dont cut cus were depressed, we genuinly do it cus we're bored and wierd(ish), and we're never depressed I seriously would like to see an end to sterotyping and try and turn it into labeling and btw, no one comment saying we're trying to be real and its all bullshit, cus we already know that. We're not trying to be real by being different, in fact we're a hell load faker than plastics are in terms of looks. so yer.... if you understood any of this little rant, comment sayin what you think of it. xD (p.s. did this cus i got bored and was venting my random brain spasms where i do rants like this in my head... lol)

People generalize because even you just wrote all of that.. So you are over emotional. It's not just angry emotions toward yourself. It's basically over emotional over anything.
