Question: I want to be emo. help!!!?

I'm a girl and 13. I really want to be an emo but not a POSER! So how do I do that? If you are gonna put that emo's cut and all that stereotypical crap than go away!!!! Thanks to all the people that actually write something helpful and useful.

You shouldn't try to be any one style, just yourself. People who are emo usually have darker hair, side swept bangs, dark eye makeup, and listen to a certain type of music and wear certain clothes. But again, just be you. Wear clothes you like, do whatever you want with your hair, and if you're actually emo than that's good for you. Otherwise, that's exactly what you'll be is a poser.

There's no sure way to BE emo. I mean, many of them are posers who just dress in black, but I guess the main trait among them is depression with themselves, it's a psychological thing. They may hate the way they are; i.e. weight, height, cultural backgound. I have an emo friend and it's because she's overweight. Why do you want to be emo anyway? What's wrong with being yourself?

The fact that you 'want' to be emo proves that you are a poser and you need to establish your own personality. It sounds like you're quite insecure and feel the need to be someone you're not in order to fit in. Just be yourself.

I think u would better be sutied for goth. its every thing emo exept the cuting part. rock music, black clothing, and any thing dark and domintited and u will be ready to go.
