Emo Stuff. Nothing Feels Good: Punk Rock, Teenagers, And Goth.

Question: I am sick of people judging me because i look emo?

Why do people judge people for looking diffrent than them? I am picked on by preps and even nerds! because I am appearently emo. I do not see what's wrong with looking emo and I never critisize looks. I can kill the nerds anyway...haha I am acctually a skater with darker tastes, but I do wear brighter color now and then. My sister's bf sees me more as a punk, but people at school and else where me as emo. One kid keeps critisizing my hair telling me to "fukn bleach it ". There was also a time he said "Shave it, EMO HAIR! " People can't grow up? Another kid calls me a wrist cutter and what not, I do not care what people think because I like what I wear and how I look. It's annoying how people have to be up in your business telling you how to dress and act. It's annoying when people say "stop being emo ", I do listen to screamo, emo, and rock of all types. What's a good way to deal with this? Ignore it, kick the nerd's a$$, or what... lol

Yep. it happens to me every single day. everyone thinks i cut myself just 'cause i look emo. every day... at school... i walk by the *cool* people are they're always like "stop being emo. stop wearing black. stop wearing tight clothes. why are you wearing tight pants? are you a guy or a girl? are you gay? do you like men? do you like it up the a$$? " and in my head, i'm just like... wtf? stfu and stop criticizing what i wear. i go to school to study not to get told about what i wear and how i act. it really is annoying... but there's nothing i can do. i don't wanna get into trouble, so i ignore them. that's honestly all i can do. i'm not the type of person who starts fights... sooo. yeah. :/ it really sucks that there are some people on this planet that aren't able to feel what other people feel. like they've got no emotion whatsoever for victims of bullying. it's really sad. but hey, one day karma will bite them. happens all the time. so yeah. *hugs* don't worry... i know how it feels.

I had that problem for a while, but a few changes of hairstyle (mohawk, then bleached, then blue) shut most of them up. But now I've got black hair again, and I get called emo again... I'm 20, and I'm not emo. People are idiots.

Ignore it and make friends with the people who really are emo's. lol or gothic people. really the scariest looking people are the friendliest sweetest people. I have tons of friends. none of them really popular. = P One has a preppy side to her but even she made friends with one of my emo chicas. :]

People also tell me that and it's really annoying especially when you're a girl like me.Just because I don't talk that much and look emoish and spend my time with my bff which says she's a freak they think i'm and emo/ freak.This girl is always asking me "Are you emo?And do you cut yourself? " i would just like to beat her @$$.But the best thing to do is just to ignore those immature people.

U and me both seriously i hate being judged constantly i hate the whole emo stereotype i'm not trying to be anything i'm being me i'm dressing how i like i'm listening to the kind of music i like i've actually toned down my look because i was so annoyed with everything but i still get called a freak, weirdo, cutter, people saying things like stupid emo chick go cry, get a tan blahblahblah grrr i hate people :P haha sorry about my little rant there ummm just tell them to fukkc off and if that doesn't work its time to start crack'in skulls lol :)

I dont think i have emo hair but some ppl do just bcause i have it a bit long but nowadays every1 has long hair

You too? so im not alone thank god. aha i have had to put up with that crap since 6th grade. It sucks, u just have to get use to it use a good comeback or just ignore them to the people that call me cutter i just say yeah and keep talking crap to me i will get my knife out n chop u up. haha it scares away all the preps at my school. good luck hun :x
