Emo people... my first impression of them are loners who cut themselves lol. However; i feel kind of bad for them, they don't know how to release their emotions in a healthy way. Despite this though, i don't think of them any lower than i would of any other person, because all people have faults. |

I wish there were still hippies and the love and peace. Sad I wasn't born in that era. |

What about them? They're just people. Like everyone else here. Edit- You know what annoys me? When people like the person a few places above me say that all emo people cut themselves and that they're all loners. It's not like that. I have plenty of emo people at my school and the only reason they're called emo is because of the way they dress and the way their hair is. Not all of them cut and not all of them are depressed. |

They're people too. = ) I think it's silly that they get so much abuse for it. |

I don't hold much respect for those that act depressed and follow trends to prove themselves suicidal enough to fit in with the crowd. Most of them just convinced themselves they have problems that don't even exist. Oh god and don't get me started on their taste in music! Cheap generic cookie cutter bands that get famous if they're hot and their hair is angled enough. And then when they all think they know "indie " bands that are on the itune's top downloaded songs, damn, man. |

I've known cool emo folks (as in, not f-ing jerks); I've known sucky ones (yeah, the f-ing jerk kind). I guess I've had a few openly emo friends... Only thing I'd have to express a bad opinion about is the drawing on skin thing. Just looks a little unsanitary- I mean, a few days with the same writing? It's just a behavior I find common, and annoying but have no right to complain about. PS: Six years passed of hearing the word 'emo' before knowing what it stood for. |

I think emo people are just people(in particular teenagers) who like to be seen. I believe that most teenagers go through that phase, and then look back at the pictures, and think "what the hell was I thinking? " Some people a realllly "emo looking ". Others try too hard to be like their emo peers in order to feel accepted. Growing up, it's hard to fit in to that group you want to be in, if you aren't already in it...when really, the real outsiders aren't the emo people, they're the people who don't fit in to any group and don't try to change themselves. |
