Emo Stuff. Nothing Feels Good: Punk Rock, Teenagers, And Goth.

Question: Is it okay if i ask someone if they're emo?

Will they be offended?? Cuz I don't think being emo is a bad thing. I just want to know if someone's emo or not. Is it okay if I just ask directly, "Do you consider yourself emo? " I dont want that person to think I'm stereotyping or anything. I don't judge people. Advice please? Thanks :) and by the way, my definition of emo does NOT have anything to do with cutting!! my opinion of it is expressing yourself artistically.

Do you know this person well? Are you normally a blunt person? They might be offended.Just explain that you do NOT mean cutting. You might want to ask " Would you consider your artistic style to have emo influences? "
