Question: Emo? punk? goth? :?0?
(Posted by: otaku kid on 2010-07-26 14:44:12)
So, I know this guy who wears all black all the time, an he's got chains and black converse, black socks and metal band t- shirts and a sort of emo haircut. But he doesn't act all emo or wear any crazy makeup, so what would he be classified as? Just asking...i'm not big on categorizing people but i'm just wondering, cuz some of my freinds say: "are you still hanging out with that punk kid? " |

Well emo is usually used for depressed kids who cut themselves (jk, but it is), so based on you description I'd say punk. |

I'm sorry but the real goth and punk scenes are dead. They were dying a slow, horrible death in the 90's and the kids now are just copying people who were pretty much poseurs to begin with. I would just lump them all together under "emo ". |

Oh hell no, he is not anything close to punk.... Your friends don't even know what that means. He sounds SORT of like a "mall goth ", even though I hate that term.... But sometimes that's the truth. But to be sure if he is, he will go around calling himself goth or whatever. Otherwise, I don't know... He could just be a metalhead too? But most likely not. Why does it matter what he should be labeled as?? Honestly I think it is ridiculous. |
